The Tour of Britain is pleased to be returning to Wales for the second successive year, this year introducing The Prostate Cancer Charity Tour Ride Wales, taking place over a tough stage that will take cyclists from ‘castle-to-castle’.

Beginning from Welshpool and passing immediately through the grounds of the National Trust’s dramatic medieval Powis Castle just outside the town, The Tour of Britain stage travels 180km south to Caerphilly, where the stage finishes outside of one of Europe’s greatest medieval castles – Caerphilly Castle.

Along the way some of The Tour of Britain’s toughest terrain will test riders in The Prostate Cancer Charity Tour Ride over the full 180 kilometre Pro Ride distance, while the shorter 100 kilometre Challenge Ride will also feature some the stages’ key sections, including the final King of the Mountains test near to the finish.
