Stoke-on-Trent

In 2009 the inaugural Tour Ride was hosted by the city of Stoke-on-Trent and with the help of 1500 cyclists a very successful day was had by all involved. This year we are back again with the Tour of Britain and another Tour Ride. The tough stage we used for the Tour of Britain in 2009 has been made even more challenging for 2010.

The full route that will be ridden by the professionals has been extended in distance and ascent. The 100 mile route (161km) celebrates the centenary year of Stoke-on-Trent as a city and now ventures further in to the Peak District to give some truly demanding race conditions midway through the stage, before the battle on Gun Hill. The Tour Ride follows in the tyre tracks of the professionals riding stage 2 of the Tour of Britain.

In case the full on 161km is not exactly what you need on an otherwise peaceful Sunday morning then maybe an 80km ride of much less severity will tempt you as a challenge to get your teeth in to, whilst enjoying the Tour of Britain atmosphere and service.

Have a good look at the route and profiles and join in for a day to remember. The rides are fully serviced by mechanics, have well stocked feed stops, a clearly marked route and a goody bag to make your friends jealous. To cap your day, you can finish in style with all the trimmings of a real Tour of Britain finish and then let us give you a hot pasta meal for your efforts.

A range of family focused rides gives cyclists of all abilities the option to ride well signposted routes on quiet roads that vary in distance from 1km to 25km and finish in full Tour of Britain style.
