The Tour of Britain once again culminates in London, and for the third year in a row The Prostate Cancer Charity Tour Ride London will help to celebrate this great occasion in the iconic location of Whitehall and Westminster.

This year the final stage and the Ride return to central London, using the same circuit so popular with riders and spectators in 2009, giving members of the public the chance to ride past iconic London landmarks such as Big Ben, Downing Street and the Tower of London.

Starting from Whitehall at the heart of government, the circuit heads down to the River Thames via Northumberland Avenue and along Victoria Embankment and Upper Thames Street to Tower Hill. Here riders will reach the eastern most point of the circuit, on the doorstep of the Tower of London, and turn to head back to the river and along the Embankment.

With the Royal Festival Hall and the London Eye to one side and the Palace of Westminster ahead the course turns over Westminster Bridge, giving the opportunity to ride in traffic free peace across one of the busiest bridges in the centre of London.

The visit to the south bank is only fleeting, with a quick turn and back across the Thames and through the shadow of Big Ben and into Whitehall to complete one of the most memorable laps in cycling, crossing the same famous Tour of Britain finish line that the professionals will race across shortly afterwards.

With all the excitement and fanfare of coming just before the professionals take to the streets to ride the final stage of The Tour of Britain, Sunday 18th September promises to be a memorable and very special experience for all who take part.
