The first Prostate Cancer Charity Tour Ride of 2011 takes place in an area of the country new to the rides, but not new to The Tour of Britain.
The two Tour of Britain stages held in East Anglia in Norfolk and Suffolk in 2010 were a huge success witnessing ‘Tour de France style crowds’ as spectators turned out in force to support Britain’s biggest professional cycle race.
This year you will have the chance to experience the same feelings as the professionals in The Tour of Britain by tackling the longest stage of the race that brings the two famous East Anglian counties together, starting in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk and finishing 200 kilometres later at Sandringham in Norfolk.
For those not wanting to take on the challenge of the full stage distance that will take in much of the stunning countryside that the two counties have to offer, a shorter but none-the-less rewarding Challenge Ride will also be on offer, starting on the Suffolk / Norfolk border in Diss and heading north to the famous North Norfolk finish venue.
The East Anglian Pro Ride will allow you to experience what it feels like to ride The Tour of Britain’s longest stage at 200 kilometres, beginning in Suffolk and ending in the famous royal estate of Sandringham in Norfolk.
A shorter but none-the-less rewarding Challenge Ride is on offer, starting on the Suffolk / Norfolk border in Diss and heading north to the famous North Norfolk finish venue of Sandringham, over gently undulating roads.
